Description:
Responsibilities May Include establishing and managing an integrated project cost and schedule system for multiple mid-large capital projects with TIC up to $100MM
  • Responsible for managing costs by WBS to provide early indication of potential variances and/or trends by budget line
  • Responsible for managing cost engineering activities including development and implementation of cost control systems, cost trending, forecast at completion, cost variance analysis, funding budgets, annual cash flows, etc
  • Responsible for invoice processing activities and troubleshooting IR/GR issues with Procurement and Fixed Assets
  • Responsible for planning and managing the execution of internal audits of critical commercial internal control systems
  • Responsible for working directly with contractors to establish rules of credit for progress and a regular cadence for cost, schedule, and progress updates
  • Review and access accuracy of contractor cost reporting, reporting procedures, cost estimates, and forecasting
  • Advise Project Manager on accuracy of contractor reporting and contract non-conformance
  • Assist with the change management process with project leaders and contractors
  • Provide Project Manager with independent assessments and analyses
  • Prepare and update weekly and monthly project cost reports for P66, JVs, third parties, etc.
  • Direct and collaborate with Project Controls Analysts to best support the PMO organization
  • Assist in development of schedules to forecast outcomes
  • Periodically audit contractor progress reporting and forecasting
  • Assure contractors incorporate work scope changes in planning and budgets
  • Review and approve contractor cost control plans and procedures for compliance and conformance
  • Update financial reports in SAP
Job Requirements:
Basic/Required:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience with project controls (cost & schedule) and contract compliance
  • 5 or more years of experience in SAP
  • Working knowledge of budget development within a WBS
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willing and able to travel at least 10% of the time
  • Preferred:
  • 15 or more years of relevant experience with project controls (cost & schedule) and contract compliance
  • 8 or more years of experience with EPC
  • Advanced level of proficiency in SAP PS & PM and Business Warehouse for projects tracking and reporting
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of professionals/stakeholders
  • Project Management Institute trainings and/or certification such as Project/Program/Portfolio Management Professional
