Job Title: Scheduling Analyst III
Contract Length: 1 year
Schedule: 5 days a week onsite during training (usually for a couple of weeks), after training is complete the contractor is allowed to work 1 day remote a week.

Need 2 – One for Renewables, one for Heavies
Renewables - Renewable Feedstocks and Products and Sustainable Aviation Product
Heavies - Fuel Oil, Feedstocks

Reason for opening: New Positions - With the extensive clean-up of inventory related transactions in SAP for Renewables and Heavies, additional support is needed to assist with the review and execution of corrections to the system with the intent to get to a more real time review and correction of inventory items intra-month.

Intake Notes:
• Oil and gas experience is required
• This role will be required to digest large quantities of data, mainly in Excel and SAP.
• Must be highly organized.
• Reviewing and analyzing inventory transactions and trading business transactions.

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the volumetric accuracy of scheduled product movements. The Scheduling Analyst role works closely with Schedulers and Accounting throughout the month and during month end close activities to ensure timely updating of SAP nominations, execution of manual accruals, correction of system or ticketing errors, or other clean-up required to ensure inventory is accurately reflected in SAP.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of all transactions related to product movements in accordance with accounting standards in our ERP system (SAP S4).
  • Run various reports in our ERP System (SAP S4) to monitor inventory Builds/Draws and analyze data on a routine basis throughout the month.
  • Work closely with our managed service provider (offshore resources), scheduling and traders to properly reflect positions and trades in our accounting records.
  • Review complicated Discrepancy Error Workbench (DEW) requests from Back Office and Volumetric Accounting that are escalated by the Scheduler and assist with identifying the proper resolution.
  • Serve as a backup reviewer for Discrepancy Error Workbench (DEW) when a scheduler is out of the office.
  • In collaboration with the Trade Support group, assist schedulers with troubleshooting when nominations do not result in the intended inventory effect in SAP and providing resolution.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of reconciliation findings for management review.
  • Track and communicate trends or recurring issues that may impact inventory accuracy and assist in the development of solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in scheduling tactics.
  • Assist with direct resolution of discrepancies during high intensity periods (such as month end close).
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 or more years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience running financial and inventory reports in SAP
  • 2 or more years as a scheduler in the oil and gas industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as reading comprehension abilities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize demands from multiple departments
  • Self-motivated, effective team player
  • Possess a customer service mentality and willingness to address internal client needs
